Nortrax Inc., which operates John Deere construction and forestry dealerships throughout the United States and Canada, has acquired eight new locations in eastern Quebec, Canada, from Equipment Sigma. Nortrax now operates former Sigma locations in Baie-Comeau, Chibougamau, Chicoutimi, Degelis, Mont Joli, St. Augustin, St. Georges and Trois Rivieres, adding to its stores in Amos, Brossard, Laval, Mont Laurier and St. Agathe.

“This purchase expands the Nortrax footprint in Quebec to 13 stores to provide sales, service and product support of John Deere construction and forestry equipment,” said Tim Murphy, Nortrax president and CEO. “This investment represents a strong commitment by Nortrax for future growth and complements our overall promise to deliver the ultimate in customer satisfaction. We are very excited to be welcoming former Sigma employees to our Nortrax team. They possess a wealth of industry knowledge and longstanding customer relationships that are critical to our overall success.”

“Quebec is a critical part of our footprint,” said Jim Foli, Nortrax vice president line of the Quebec region. “We are better positioned to assist our customers with more product support inventory, and people than ever before no matter where their project may take them throughout the province of Quebec.”
