Riwal, the aerial work platform and telehandler rental specialist, was named winner of The Customer and Market Engagement Award in the Grand Final of this year’s European Business Awards, at an exclusive awards ceremony held in Warsaw, Poland.

Riwal was named one of 12 category winners following a final live judging session, after the competition began last year with more than 112,000 businesses from 34 countries initially considered. Having been named as one of 2,898 businesses as “Ones to Watch” in December 2017 and then as one of 289 National Winners on May 1st, Riwal advanced to the finals where a final judging panel selected it as winner of the category for customer and market engagement.

For this category, the judges selected Riwal by determining that it best demonstrates that it delivers an innovative, upper quartile customer experience within its sector that engages all groups in its potential market, adds a powerful unique selling proposition to its brand based upon an integrated omni-channel strategy, leading edge technology and processes, measurement led performance improvement and highly skilled employees within its own organization and its supply chain.

More than 450 successful business leaders from across Europe came together at the two-day event with politicians, ambassadors and academics to celebrate the remarkable business achievement of Riwal and the other category winners in Europe’s largest and most prestigious business competition.

Norty Turner, CEO of Riwal, said: “We’re extremely proud to receive the customer and market engagement award. It is significant recognition for all of the hard work everyone at Riwal has put into realizing our mission of delivering the best customer experience in the industry. Given that the European Business Awards are widely acclaimed as a showcase for Europe’s most dynamic companies, we are honored to be recognized at this level.”

"Our winners are the gold standard for business excellence,” said Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards. “They are also powerful examples of the growth potential for European business in today’s highly competitive global marketplace. They deserve their success and we wish them well.”
